There were 2,362 students enrolled in Bob Hope School in the 2021-22 school year, 1% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.9% of them were girls, and 47.1% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 76% of the Bob Hope School total enrollment.

Bob Hope School roughly covers schools within Jefferson County with its main office in Port Arthur.

Among the four schools in Bob Hope School, Bob Hope School - Elementary Campus recorded the highest enrollment of 728 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
