Orange County schools enroll 613 gifted and talented students in the 2020-2021 school year

Test 06

Orange County schools enrolled 613 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is a 4.6% increase over the previous school year.

Of the 14,883 students enrolled in Orange County schools, 4.1% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Orange County enrolled the 73rd highest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
