Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 9.8% of Vidor ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 421 Hispanic students enrolled in Vidor ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 13.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Vidor ISD schools welcomed 4,315 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 9.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Vidor ISD roughly covers schools within Orange County and has a main office in Vidor.

Among the six schools in Vidor ISD schools, Vidor High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 108 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
