How many white students were enrolled in Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies STEM School District in 2022-23 school year?

There were 13 white students enrolled in Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies STEM School District in the 2022-23 school year, 160% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies STEM School District welcomed 337 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 3.9% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies STEM School District roughly covers schools within Jefferson County and has a main office in Port Arthur.

Among the four schools in Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies STEM School District, Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies - Orange recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of eight students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
