There were 27 white students enrolled in Bob Hope School District in the 2022-23 school year, 3.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Bob Hope School District welcomed 2,313 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 1.2% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Bob Hope School District roughly covers schools within Jefferson County and has a main office in Port Arthur.

Among the four schools in Bob Hope School District, Bob Hope School Beaumont recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 12 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
