CITY OF BEAUMONT TX: Beaumont Police Arrest Two for Burglary of a Habitation- 1290 Oregon

City of Beaumont Tx issued the following announcement.

On Monday, December 21, 2020 at 8:41 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to an apartment located at 1290 Oregon, in reference to a Burglary in Progress. The caller was out of town but viewing the burglary via security cameras. He stated that two suspects were inside his apartment and one had a firearm. As Officers arrived, they discovered one of the suspects, identified as Brent Edwards (26 year old Beaumont resident, pictured below in orange) climbing out of a rear window. Officers took Edwards into custody. A perimeter was established around the building, due to information that the second suspect was still believed to be inside with a firearm. The second suspect, identified as Zacorion Anderson (20 year old Beaumont resident, pictured below in blue) eventually surrendered and was taken into custody. One of the firearms located during the investigation was listed as stolen. Edwards and Anderson were transported to the Jefferson County Jail, charged with Burglary of a Habitation. The investigation is on-going.
