CITY OF BEAUMONT TX: Beaumont Animal Care Adjusting to “Stay Home –Work Safe” Order

Pups

City of Beaumont TX issued the following announcement on March 28.

Due to the recent Stay Home – Work Safe order handed down by the City of Beaumont, Beaumont Animal Care has closed its lobby to the public. All adoptions, fosters and or owner reclaims of animals will be conducted by appointments only. Our Animal Care Officers will still be responding to calls for service, which may be placed to 311. Though, we do ask that if you find a stray animal, that you make every effort to locate the owner through social media. Feel free to call our shelter staff for advice on the best ways to do this.

All animals available for adoption or fostering are available for viewing 24 hours a day on our Facebook page. If someone is missing an animal, they will need to view the animals on the Facebook page as well. Any animal picked up in the field will be posted to Facebook by the end of each business day.

To schedule an appointment to foster, adopt, or to reclaim an animal, please call the animal shelter at (409)838-3304 and a staff member will assist you. Upon arrival at the animal shelter, located at 1884 Pine St, please call the same number and a staff member will meet you at your car in order to maintain the proper social distancing. If you have any questions, feel free to call (409)838-3304 and get the latest updates on our Facebook page or Instagram page.

Please be patient with these changes, as our primary goal is the safety the citizens, our staff and the well being of our animals.
