U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) announced today that the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies approved funding for the Sabine—Neches Waterway and the Texas City Ship Channel.
U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) voted in support of H.R. 1615, the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act, and H.R. 1640, the Save Our Gas Stoves Act, to block the Biden Administration from banning or regulating the use of gas stoves in U.S. households. Rep. Weber spoke on the House floor in support of these bills, which were prompted by a January comment from Richard Trumka, Jr., a commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Trumka randomly proposed a ban on gas stoves, calling them a “hidden hazard” and saying, “any option is on the table.”

In their letter, the lawmakers urge the Administration to take action to put American shrimpers and the American aquaculture industry first.
