  • Rep. Weber Introduces Ban Offshore Abortion Tourism Act

    On August 29, U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) introduced the Ban Offshore Abortion Tourism (BOAT) Act to prohibit abortions in maritime jurisdiction. The BOAT Act would hold accountable providers who knowingly endanger the life of an unborn child with fines and jail time. Additionally, women who sought their services could seek relief from the company in the appropriate federal district court.

  • Rep. Weber Fighting for U.S. Shrimping Industry

    U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) co-sponsored H.R. 4547, the Laws Ensuring Safe Shrimp (LESS) Act, which would enhance the FDA’s capacity to test shrimp as it comes into the country—ensuring that what comes in is free of antibiotic residues, up to our health standards, and is not the product of illegal, unregulated, or unreported fishing by the People's Republic of China. Additionally, it provides resources to the USDA to make purchases of domestic shrimp to get more healthy shrimp to schools, food banks, and disaster relief programs.

  • Rep. Weber Votes To Protect Your Gas Stoves

    U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) voted in support of H.R. 1615, the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act, and H.R. 1640, the Save Our Gas Stoves Act, to block the Biden Administration from banning or regulating the use of gas stoves in U.S. households. Rep. Weber spoke on the House floor in support of these bills, which were prompted by a January comment from Richard Trumka, Jr., a commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Trumka randomly proposed a ban on gas stoves, calling them a “hidden hazard” and saying, “any option is on the table.”

Randy Weber (TX-14) voted in favor of H.R. 467, the HALT Fentanyl Act, which would permanently classify fentanyl-related substances (FRS) in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. The bill guarantees law enforcement has the resources to keep these drugs off the street and allows for further research of FRS.
