U.S. Representative Randy Weber, representing Texas' 14th Congressional District, has announced his continued service on two influential committees in the House of Representatives. Rep. Weber will maintain his positions on the House Energy and Commerce (E&C) Committee and the Science, Space, and Technology (SST) Committee. In addition to these roles, he has been appointed as Chairman of the SST Energy Subcommittee and Vice Chairman of the E&C Energy Subcommittee.

Rep. Weber expressed his commitment to advancing energy policies that benefit Southeast Texas and the nation. "It's an honor to continue to serve as a member on the influential Energy and Commerce Committee and to support the growth of our space exploration and energy distribution efforts—both are critical to the future of Southeast Texas," said Rep. Weber.

His district is notable for its significant contributions to energy production, including seven ports, several major petroleum refineries, LNG plants, and a large portion of America's Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

Brett Guthrie (KY-2), Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, praised Rep. Weber's appointment as Vice Chairman: “I am excited to name Congressman Randy Weber as the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy.” Guthrie highlighted Weber's dedication to strengthening domestic energy production while addressing rising gas and electricity costs.

August Pfluger (TX-11), Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, also welcomed Rep. Weber's new role within HEAT: “I am thrilled to have fellow Texan Rep. Randy Weber as the Vice-Chair of the House Energy Action Team."
