Randy Weber, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 14th district since 2013, has recently shared his views on social media regarding political events involving President Joe Biden and international relations. Weber succeeded Ron Paul in Congress and has previously served in the Texas House of Representatives.
On December 2, 2024, Randy Weber expressed his opinion on a perceived "quid pro quo" situation involving President Joe Biden. He stated, "That there was a 'quid pro quo' taking place… we just saw the last phase of it… good riddance Joe Biden…”
In another post on the same day, Weber commented on President Biden's decision to pardon his son. He remarked that this action set a precedent of “Rules for thee but not for me,” and referred to an incident during Biden's vice presidency when he allegedly withheld $1.1 billion from Ukraine until they dismissed a prosecutor investigating his son's company. "Biden pardons his son: the precedent: 'Rules for thee but not for me…' No surprise- we knew that - when VP Biden withheld $1.1 billion from Ukraine until they fired the prosecutor looking at his son‘s company."
Later that day, Weber addressed international concerns by criticizing what he perceives as weak leadership by President Biden concerning Hamas. He emphasized that under former President Trump’s leadership, such issues would be handled differently and warned of serious consequences if hostages were not released immediately. "Hamas has been emboldened under Joe Biden’s weak leadership, but this ends with President Trump. If every hostage is not released immediately, there will be serious consequences. This is not a request—it's a warning."
