75.7% of Jefferson County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 256,755 citizens living in Jefferson County in 2021, 75.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 194,287 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 100,141 were male, constituting 51.5%, and 94,146 were female, making up 48.5%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Jefferson County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 74.2%.
