VIDOR ISD: What's Up Doc with Dr. Jay Killgo

Doc

Vidor ISD issued the following announcement on April 06.

Due to Governor Abbott’s announcement that schools will remain closed, we will be postponing the return to school until May 4 for staff and May 5 for students. The Flexible Education Program will continue until that time.

Vidor ISD will continue to communicate with parents to make sure you are informed about important dates. We want to encourage everyone to review the daily assignments for students posted here.

For those without technology we will have an assignment handout on Wednesday, April 15 with lessons through May 1 at each campus from 9:00 to noon. In an effort to help students access work electronically, we have WiFi available in each district parking lot by using the password “march2020” (exclude quotation marks) in all lowercase letters for the Vidor ISD Guest Network.

In observance of the student holiday on Friday, April 10 and 13 and the staff development day April 14, meals will not be served on these days. Child Nutrition will resume the regular meal pick up from 10 am-12pm at Vidor E and Pine Forest Elem. on Wednesday, April 15.

We will continue to monitor this situation and provide opportunities to access student work and meals.Vidor ISD will maintain contact with parents, students and faculty through callout, website and Facebook. Once again, we want to encourage everyone to follow all social distancing guidelines put forth by our local and national leaders.
