Schools in Jefferson County enrolled the 20th highest number of students identified as economically disadvantaged in the state during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.
Of the 277 students at West Hardin High School in Saratoga, 233 (84%) weren't on the academic track to qualify for college in the 2021-22 school year, according to SE Texas Times' analysis of test scores from the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
Hardin-Jefferson ISD schools had 72 multiracial students enrolled in their schools in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.
Bob Hope School District had two Pacific Islander students enrolled in their schools in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.
