There were 10 multiracial students enrolled in West Hardin County CISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that West Hardin County CISD schools welcomed 568 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 1.8% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

West Hardin County CISD roughly covers schools within Hardin County and has a main office in Saratoga.

Among the two schools in West Hardin County CISD schools, West Hardin Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of seven students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
