Kountze ISD Education: 1,127 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 1,127 students enrolled in Kountze ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 56.4% of them were boys, and 43.6% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 71.8% of the Kountze ISD total enrollment.

Kountze ISD roughly covers schools within Hardin County with its main office in Kountze.

Among the four schools in Kountze ISD, Kountze High School recorded the highest enrollment of 346 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
