In the most recent general election in 2024, he defeated Rhonda Hart with nearly 69% of the vote. Previous victories include defeating Mikal Williams in 2022 with over 70%, Adrienne Bell in both 2020 and 2018 with margins above 59%, Michael Cole in 2016 with nearly 62%, and Donald Brown in 2014 with almost the same percentage.
