Randy Weber, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 14th district since 2013, recently shared his views on the legislative process through a series of tweets. The congressman, who succeeded Ron Paul and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2009 to 2013, expressed his frustration with opposition party members and celebrated legislative progress.

On July 3, 2025, Weber tweeted “AMEN. I spent nearly three hours on the House floor listening to the Left’s tired excuses. Democrats are doing everything they can to stop the One Big Beautiful Bill…because they can’t stand the thought of America winning.” This tweet reflects his discontent with Democratic opposition during discussions about a significant piece of legislation referred to as “the One Big Beautiful Bill.”

Later that day, at 17:43 UTC, Weber announced “We did it, @RepJeffries… Now, @HouseGOP will still PASS the One Big Beautiful Bill. Thanks for nothing!” Here he conveyed a sense of achievement despite perceived lack of support from Democratic leaders like Representative Jeffries.

Finally, at 18:33 UTC on July 3rd, Weber declared “The One Big Beautiful Bill is heading to President Trump’s desk. Promises made. Promises kept.” indicating that the bill had successfully passed through Congress and was awaiting presidential approval.

Randy Weber was born in Pearland, Texas in 1953 and currently resides in Friendswood. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston–Clear Lake obtained in 1977.
