Randy Weber, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 14th district since 2013, shared several insights on social media regarding energy innovation and legislative actions. Born in Pearland, Texas, and currently residing in Friendswood, Weber has been active in politics since serving in the Texas House of Representatives from 2009 to 2013.

On February 6, 2025, Randy Weber expressed his enthusiasm for upcoming discussions about the Department of Energy’s National Labs. “DOE’s National Labs drive innovation, strengthening energy, security, and growth.” He mentioned his anticipation for his first Energy Subcommittee hearing scheduled for the following week to explore recent research and developments.

Later that day, he addressed a concern among his constituents regarding federal agency oversight. On February 6, 2025, he stated: “Yesterday, I asked TX-14 constituents whether federal agencies like USAID need more oversight to ensure your tax dollars are spent wisely.” He concurred with the sentiment that there is a need for increased scrutiny.

In another post on February 6, 2025, Weber announced a legislative achievement by House Republicans: “House Republicans just passed the HALT Fentanyl Act to save lives.” The act aims to combat fentanyl distribution and its detrimental effects on communities.
