Randy Weber, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 14th district since 2013, has recently shared his views on several pressing issues via social media. His statements address topics ranging from immigration policies to energy production and Medicaid expansion.
On May 11, 2025, Weber questioned the actions of Democrats in Congress regarding their stance on immigration enforcement. He expressed concern that they are “attacking ICE agents…all to protect illegal immigrants,” suggesting that such actions overlook their duty to serve American citizens and adhere to the law. “Have the Democrats in Congress completely lost their minds? Now they’re attacking ICE agents…all to protect illegal immigrants?”
The following day, May 12, 2025, Weber announced significant developments for Southeast Texas’s energy sector. He criticized federal regulations that have impeded local energy producers and advocated for reducing bureaucratic barriers to enhance America’s energy production capabilities. “Big news for Southeast Texas! Our energy producers have been buried under federal red tape for too long.”
On May 13, 2025, Weber addressed concerns about Medicaid expansion by the Left. He accused them of causing waste and fraud through reckless policies while asserting that Republicans are committed to safeguarding Medicaid services for those in need. “The Left is going off the rails on Medicaid.”
Weber has been an active political figure since replacing Ron Paul in Congress in 2013. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2009 to 2013. Born in Pearland, Texas, he currently resides in Friendswood and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
