Randy Weber, U.S. Representative from Texas, took to social media on November 4, 2025, to criticize Congressional Democrats for their handling of the ongoing government shutdown and related funding legislation.

In a post published at 15:22 UTC, Weber stated, “Congressional Democrats just tied this government shutdown for the longest in U.S. history, all for illegal aliens. You can’t make this stuff up.”

Later that day at 19:43 UTC, he commented further on the situation: “As of today, Democrats have voted down the funding bill FOURTEEN TIMES to reopen the govt. FOUR. TEEN. TIMES. Pres. Trump’s over here getting creative to keep AMERICANS FIRST during the Schumer Shutdown…and @SenSchumer? He’s only been worried about his primary. The gig is up!”

Weber also shared praise for economic optimism in a separate post at 20:44 UTC, quoting another individual and adding his endorsement: ‘”We are going to have what I call Parallel Prosperity…we are going to see Main Street surge here along with Wall Street.” Well DONE Mr. Bessent!!’

Randy Weber has held his congressional seat through several election cycles, most recently defeating Rhonda Hart in 2024 with nearly 69% of the vote. He previously secured victories against Mikal Williams in 2022 and Adrienne Bell in both 2020 and 2018 by significant margins.
