Randy Weber, representing Texas’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress, expresses his views on energy policies and immigration through a series of tweets. Having served in Congress since 2013 after a tenure in the Texas House of Representatives, Weber hails from Pearland, Texas, and currently resides in Friendswood.
On April 29, 2025, Weber shared his stance on America’s energy sector asserting, “When America needs energy, it turns to Texas. And when Texas gets to work—the world takes notice. Under President Trump, we’re back to unleashing American energy—led by Southeast Texas. We fuel economies, empower allies & protect our national security.” He emphasizes the role of Southeast Texas in the energy industry and its impact on national and global scales.
Continuing on the same day, Weber expressed his opinion on the implications of offshore leasing policies by stating, “Offshore leasing should never be used as a political weapon or allow America to fall behind our competitors in the resource-rich Gulf of America. The BRIDGE Act gets us back on track.” Highlighting the potential pitfalls of political interference in resource management, he advocates for the BRIDGE Act.
On April 30, 2025, Weber addressed the issue of immigration and crime, questioning public narratives and expressing frustration, “Now they’re trying to say the tattoo was photoshopped? Where does it end with these people? He was an illegal immigrant and a member of MS-13 — what’s so hard to understand?” This tweet reflects his strong stance on illegal immigration and associated criminal activities.
Randy Weber, 69, was born in Pearland, Texas, and earned a BS from the University of Houston–Clear Lake in 1977. He succeeded Ron Paul in Congress, continuing a career in public service with a firm stance on energy and immigration issues.
