Randy Weber addresses Kerr County tragedy and praises emergency response

Randy Weber, who has represented Texas’ 14th district in the U.S. Congress since 2013, recently addressed the ongoing crisis in Kerr County through a series of social media posts. Weber, a Pearland native and University of Houston–Clear Lake graduate, shared his observations and gratitude during what he described as a devastating period for local families.

On July 11, 2025, Weber posted from Kerr County: “I’m here in Kerr County, standing shoulder to shoulder with our fellow Texans during this devastating time. The loss of life is truly heartbreaking, families shattered, lives forever changed. But when tragedy strikes, Texas comes together. That unshakable spirit is alive and”.

Later that day, on July 11, 2025, Weber publicly thanked the President via social media: “Thank you, @POTUS. TEXAS STRONG.”

On July 12, 2025, Weber acknowledged the efforts of emergency management agencies and federal officials: “We’re lucky to have TDEM. Always fast, always putting Texans first. Grateful to President Trump for coming to Texas & for the fast response by FEMA. Yesterday, I was with parents who lost their daughter — truly heartbreaking. Keep praying for Texas.”

Randy Weber succeeded Ron Paul in Congress after serving in the Texas House of Representatives from 2009 to 2013. He currently resides in Friendswood.
