Randy Weber, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 14th congressional district, posted a series of statements on July 28, 2025, addressing American energy production and recent executions in Iran.

In his first post of the day, Weber expressed support for domestic energy initiatives and credited former President Donald Trump for economic growth in Southeast Texas. On July 28, he wrote: “Down here in Southeast Texas, we’re UNLEASHING American energy and keeping the product moving. Thank you, President Trump…business is booming, and busy is back!”

Later that evening, Weber commented on an unspecified act of terrorism. At 22:00 UTC on July 28, he stated: “Unbelievable! Terrorists at their worst! Something’s gotta change!”

Shortly after, Weber condemned executions carried out by Iranian authorities. In a tweet posted at 22:07 UTC on July 28, he said: “We condemn the execution of political prisoners Mehdi Hasani and Behrouz Ehsani-Eslamloo, members of the MEK, who were hanged in Tehran on July 27, 2025. Their execution is part of the Iranian regime’s ongoing campaign of terror against dissent. The Iranian people and their”

Weber has represented Texas’s 14th congressional district since winning his seat in the general election against Donald Brown in 2014. He has consistently secured re-election over subsequent cycles—defeating Michael Cole in 2016; Adrienne Bell in both 2018 and 2020; Mikal Williams in 2022; and Rhonda Hart most recently in 2024.
