Randy Weber, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 14th congressional district, posted a series of messages on his social media account in early August 2025 addressing political issues and commemorating the U.S. Coast Guard.

On August 3, 2025, Weber expressed concern about current world affairs, writing: “Unbelievable… Sane people in the World: Wake up before it’s too late!”

Later that day, he criticized Democratic lawmakers regarding voting rights and redistricting in Texas. In his post from August 3, he stated: “So the Democrats – (cowards that they are) pulled this stunt before. You know it’s a shame that they don’t stand up for appropriate voting rights, but rather to seek districts at their own behest, not the will of the Texas voters…rw”

On August 4, Weber shifted focus to acknowledge the service of the U.S. Coast Guard. He wrote: “Happy Birthday to the U.S. Coast Guard! These brave men and women have protected our ports, saved lives, and served with honor. Here in Southeast Texas, we’re especially grateful for all they do. Semper Paratus—Always Ready!”

Weber has represented his district since first being elected in 2012 and has consistently secured re-election by significant margins. In the most recent general election of 2024, he defeated Rhonda Hart with nearly 69% of the vote; previous elections saw similar outcomes against other opponents such as Mikal Williams in 2022 and Adrienne Bell in both 2020 and 2018.
