Brian Babin, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 36th district since 2015, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing national political issues and healthcare policy.

On July 24, 2025, Babin commented on the conduct of former President Obama and members of the Democratic Party during Donald Trump’s presidency. He wrote, “Trump was right. Obama, the Dems, and their media cronies weaponized the FBI & CIA to sabotage his presidency. They lied, cheated, and got caught. Prosecutions must follow.”

The following day, July 25, 2025, Babin posted about priorities for American government officials: “If your goal is to help Somalia, you shouldn’t be in American government. Period.”

Later that same day, he addressed recent developments regarding gender-affirming care for minors at Kaiser Permanente: “Kaiser Permanente is pausing gender surgeries for minors after pressure from the Trump Admin. More protecting kids, less mutilating them. Keep the pressure on!”

Babin has served in Congress since succeeding Steve Stockman in 2015 and represents constituents from Texas’s 36th district. Born in Port Arthur in 1948 and currently residing in Woodville at age 75, Babin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University (1973).
