Brian Babin, who has represented Texas’s 36th District in the U.S. Congress since 2015, recently shared several statements on social media addressing national and local developments. Babin, born in Port Arthur, Texas in 1948 and a graduate of Lamar University, is known for his focus on both regional issues and broader national policy.

On July 11, 2025, Babin expressed support for a recent development affecting families nationwide. He stated, “Every parent in America should be cheering this.”

Later that day, Babin highlighted the efforts of the Texas-based military unit during an emergency response operation. In a post dated July 11, 2025, he wrote: “The 147th Attack Wing out of Ellington Field in Houston is flying the MQ‑9 Reaper – one of the Air Force’s most capable platforms – to support search and rescue efforts in the Hill Country. I’m proud to see these Texans helping Texans! Keep up the good work!”

In another message posted on July 11, 2025, Babin commented on American resilience and economic independence. He said: “America was built on grit and innovation—and we don’t fold when times get tough. Less reliance on China means more American-made, American-owned. Back to basics. Back to greatness.”

Babin replaced Steve Stockman as representative for Texas’s 36th District in 2015 and currently resides in Woodville.
