Brian Babin, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 36th congressional district, posted several updates on his official X account in late August 2025, covering topics ranging from political commentary to recent legislative developments and a visit to NASA’s Johnson Space Center.

On August 23, 2025, Babin commented on political figures and financial influence, stating, “Communists always expose themselves as frauds. Mamdani just did. As for the billionaire hedge fund heiress… I’m reminded of the old adage ‘a fool and his money are soon parted.'”

Two days later, on August 25, Babin addressed economic policy and immigration with the message: “Americans are taking home more money, and illegal immigrants are getting fewer handouts. That’s the One Big, Beautiful Bill at work.”

Later that day, Babin shared details about a tour of NASA’s facilities: “I was proud to welcome @SecDuffyNASA, @SenTedCruz, & former Speaker McCarthy to @NASA_Johnson. We toured the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility, spoke with the ISS crew, and met astronauts & staff. JSC is the beating heart of @NASA & will return Americans to the Moon under @POTUS.”

Babin has represented Texas’s 36th district since winning election in 2014. He has consistently secured re-election by significant margins in every general election since then. In his most recent race in 2024 against Dayna Steele he won with nearly 70% of the vote; similar outcomes were recorded in previous contests against Jon Haire (2022), Rashad Lewis (2020), Dayna Steele (2018), Michael Cole (2014), and Hal Ridley Jr. (2016).
