Brian Babin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 36th district, has taken to social media to express his views on recent legislative developments. Serving since 2015, Babin is vocal about tax policies and government expenditure.

On July 2, 2025, Babin emphasized his opposition to what he described as “the largest tax hike in American history.” He urged support for legislation he referred to as “the one big, beautiful bill”, advocating for its potential benefits for hardworking Americans.

Later that day, Babin reiterated the bill’s focus on prioritizing American families over federal interests. He highlighted its provisions allowing parents to invest in their homes and communities. In his words: “The One Big Beautiful Bill puts American families first — not the federal government.”

Further detailing the bill’s impact, Babin mentioned its stance against funding certain industries. He noted that it aims to “end the forced taxpayer funding of the Big Abortion industry,” framing it as an opportunity to vote in favor of life.

Babin was born in Port Arthur, Texas in 1948 and currently resides in Woodville. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University obtained in 1973.
