Brian Babin, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 36th district since 2015, has been vocal on various national issues through his social media platform. His recent posts highlight his perspectives on the political and educational landscape in the United States.

On June 3, 2025, Babin expressed support for former President Trump, stating that “President Trump’s success is so undeniable, even the liberal fake news is starting to take notice.”

The following day, June 4, he commented on higher education in America. He asserted that “Higher education has become a Trojan horse for America’s enemies. We are bankrolling the indoctrination of our youth and funneling resources to Communist China. This isn’t just foolish, it’s a national security threat.” He concluded with a call to action: “Shut it down.”

Later on June 4, Babin addressed border security and drug trafficking concerns by stating that “Fentanyl seizures are down for one reason: a secure border.” He criticized media narratives by adding that “The media could tell the truth, but instead, they push narratives that fit their agenda.”

Babin was born in Port Arthur, Texas in 1948 and currently resides in Woodville. He graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973.
