Brian Babin, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 36th congressional district, published a series of posts on X on October 14 and 15, 2025, addressing political and social issues and recognizing a conservative figure’s birthday.

On October 14, Babin posted a tribute to Charlie Kirk, writing, “Today, on Charlie Kirk’s birthday, we honor a man whose faith, courage, and conviction continue to inspire a new generation of patriots.”

Later the same day, Babin criticized Democratic leadership and media coverage regarding government funding debates. He stated, “The mainstream media admitted Schumer is coordinating with left-wing activist groups on the Democrat Shutdown – groups bankrolled by the Soros family. Do Democrats even work for the American people? Or just the billionaire elites pulling their strings?”

On October 15, Babin commented on congressional priorities with an image post, asserting, “The picture says it all: Democrats are hands up for illegal aliens and hands off when it comes to paying our troops.”

Babin has represented Texas’s 36th district since 2015 and has consistently won reelection by wide margins. In the most recent 2024 general election, he defeated Dayna Steele with 69.4% of the vote. In previous cycles, Babin also secured victories against Jon Haire in 2022 (69.5%), Rashad Lewis in 2020 (73.6%), Dayna Steele in 2018 (72.6%), Hal Ridley Jr. in 2016 (88.6%), and Michael Cole in 2014 (76%).
