Brian Babin, U.S. Congressman and Chairman of the House Science Committee, recently posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account addressing issues ranging from national security to scientific progress.

On August 21, 2025, Babin asserted in a tweet that “The Russia Hoax wasn’t just a lie. It was a coordinated attack on our democracy, and it came straight from the Obama Administration.”

Later that day, he expressed support for law enforcement and former President Trump by stating, “.@POTUS shoulder to shoulder, with American law enforcement. President Trump has their six—and yours.” (August 21, 2025).

On August 22, 2025, Babin highlighted achievements in science and technology policy: “As Chairman of @HouseScience, I’m proud of the progress we’ve made—advancing scientific research, space exploration, energy innovation, and policies keeping America the leader in AI and quantum. Our nation’s Golden Age is HERE!”

Babin has represented his district since first winning election in 2014. He has consistently secured reelection victories against various opponents: defeating Michael Cole in 2014 with over three-quarters of the vote; Hal Ridley Jr. in 2016 with nearly 89 percent; Rashad Lewis in 2020 with almost three-quarters; Dayna Steele in both 2018 and 2024 by wide margins; and Jon Haire in 2022 with nearly seventy percent support.
