Brian Babin, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 36th congressional district, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing both international and domestic political issues.

On October 7, 2025, Babin reflected on the anniversary of a significant attack in Israel, stating: “Two years ago, Israel faced one of the darkest and most brutal attacks in its history. Innocent lives were lost, and the nation has been fighting for its survival ever since. I continue to pray that @POTUS’ peace plan will bring enduring peace to the Middle East.”

The following day, October 8, 2025, Babin commented on a controversy involving Democratic Attorney General candidate Jay Jones. He wrote: “Democrat AG candidate Jay Jones openly fantasized about murdering his opponent and children. That’s not politics, that’s pure evil. Jones has disqualified himself and must drop out of the race immediately.”

On October 9, 2025, Babin expressed support for the President’s efforts toward peace in the Middle East with another post: “Blessed are the peacemakers, indeed. Thank you, Mr. President for delivering once again what others only promised — peace.”

Babin has represented Texas’s 36th district since 2015 and has consistently secured re-election by wide margins in every general election since then. In recent years, he won against Dayna Steele in both 2018 and 2024 with over 69% of the vote each time; he also defeated Jon Haire in 2022 with nearly 70% of the vote, Rashad Lewis in 2020 with over 73%, Michael Cole in 2014 with over 76%, and Hal Ridley Jr. in 2016 with nearly 89%. These results underscore his longstanding electoral strength within his district.
