Brian Babin, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 36th district since 2015, recently shared his views on social media regarding various issues. Born in Port Arthur, Texas in 1948 and a graduate of Lamar University with a BS in 1973, Babin expressed concern over international and domestic matters through his posts.

On May 22, 2025, Babin commented on a violent incident involving Israeli embassy staffers in Washington D.C. He stated: “Heartbroken and outraged by the brutal murder of two Israeli embassy staffers in DC. My prayers are with their families and the entire Jewish community. This was a vile act of antisemitic hate. Justice must be swift.”

Later that day, Babin criticized Harvard University for its alleged stance towards antisemitism and relations with China: “Harvard sold out to antisemitism and cozied up to the CCP, now they’re facing consequences. It’s about time our institutions are held accountable.”

In another post on May 22, he expressed gratitude towards Citizens for Space Exploration for their advocacy work: “Thank you, Citizens for Space Exploration, for coming to DC and championing America’s human space program. Your support is vital as the @HouseScience Committee works to keep the U.S. the world’s preeminent spacefaring nation.” Babin emphasized the importance of maintaining America’s leadership in space exploration.
